It has been a week full of fun activities and yummy, healthy treats in 2H! We got off to a great start with our topic on healthy eating on Monday by making fruit salad with the help of our ever so helpful mums - thanks mums!
Later in the week we also learned about the various food groups, which we need most of and which to be careful with. As we discovered, there are no 'bad' foods - it's all about eating the right amount of each.
We were very lucky to receive a visit from Doctor Noor on Monday as well, who helped to explain to the children the importance of proper hand washing, what might be the consequences of not doing so and how best to get the job done! We all now know that before touching food or after paying a visit to the toilet especially, washing our hands is a must!
In Literacy we used all this week's activities as the basis for instructional writing, of which the children have gained a great understanding.
