This week in 2H we have continued to take inspiration from Winter the children wrote a series of shape poems about a snowflake, a Christmas tree and the snow.WE talked about using exciting adjectives, alliteration and onomatopoeia to give our writing that something special to grab the reader's attention.
We then drafted our poems and presented them in the shape of the things they described - I'm sure you'll be ever so impressed with the results! They would also make terrific Christmas tree decorations, so I'm sure they'll also go to good use when they are sent home next week.
Once again, a huge thanks to all of you that volunteered to help out at the Heart to Heart stall at the Winter Fair last weekend - it was a great success and a great time was had by all!
Finally, thanks to Taryn, Christina and Haley's auntie for coming in to help us make some delicious Crispy Treats! We saw lots of the processes we have learnt about in Science recently taking place before our eyes, such as melting, mixing, cooling and the effects these changes have on various materials (ingredients in this case).
