Looking back over the year and seeing the children grow as friends and learners has given me great joy. I have often gone home to my husband telling him of all the wonderful things we did at school during the day. I have had challenges, I have laughed my pants off, I have had many cuddles, I have been called mum, dad and ayi, and I have witnessed many tears. All of these combined have made wonderful memories and made me a stronger teacher.
Thank you for all of your support this year. Teachers love supportive parents and I am lucky to say that I have been blessed with many supportive parents in 2P.
Many of you have asked me about my new school year, yes, I am moving from the class to be a specialist teacher. You may recall that in Australia I worked with children and adults with disabilities and have a particular interest in special education. Of course the needs at DUCKS is very different to the needs of the children I used to work for, but I am very interested in learning support and am very excited to be trying something new.
Mrs Zhu will be moving from year 2 to year 1, she is also very excited for the new challenges ahead.
