Celebrating Chinese New Year
On Friday 1 February DUCKS will be celebrating Chinese New Year. Students are invited to wear traditional Chinese clothes on this day. The morning will start at 9.00am with a lion dance at the front of school, the students will then move inside to choose from a variety of fun activities in all of the different classrooms, including the year 2 classrooms. You will pick up your child from 2P. If you are unable to accompany your child to the activities, you can either buddy your child up with another parent or let me know and I will find a person to take your child around to the different activities. Parents will return students back to class at 11.15am. Students will then have Mandarin class from 11.30 -12.00, and Liang Min (Ya Wen's mum) has organised for some parents to come back to class and help teach students how to make dumplings. We will remain in the classroom to eat the dumplings for lunch. No school lunch on this day. If your child does not want to eat the dumplings for lunch you can pack them a home lunch, which will be eaten in class.
If you have any questions about the dumplings please ask Liang Min. If you have any questions about the morning please send me an email.
