We try new things! DUCKS P&OSThis week the Year Two children have all been learning how to play the recorder! Although we all tried our best Raimundo and Victoria were named by Miss Rodi for working so hard!

New Literacy Unit!We have been exploring non-fiction texts and books about lots of different interesting subjects. There are lots of new words we need to know, here are some examples! The front cover , the title and the blurb the book gives you lots of clues of what the book is about! The contents page gives you more clues! The page with this heading that Jamie found, was all about elephants! Summer's funky book had the best sub-headings! Brynlee, Jacob and Thomas found cool illustrations and diagrams! Jude, Raimundo and Blythe found some fascinating labels and captions. The glossary explains all those new technical words! At the very back of the book is the index which will help you find which page specific information is on. |
