In Science we have been finding out about animals that live in China. We discovered that they lived in different habitats and places across the country. We found China in the atlas (we found Shanghai!) and then used geographical terms like 'mountains, desert, jungle, river and swamp' to describe these habitats.

"We are all good at something!" DUCKS P&Os  It was very easy to choose these two for the certificates this week as they are always good! Brynlee and Daniel are good at listening, good at working hard and good at making friends and playing on the playground!
In a typical Literacy Skills Lesson there will be many different activities taking place. Your child may be reading with a teacher, answering questions about the book or practising spellings by using letter-sound associations!  Did you know that in America the wobbly stuff is called jello? In the UK it is called jelly! We became even more confused when we realised that jelly in America is called jam in the UK!
Be careful if you ask for a jelly sandwich in England! ee ea y e words! Max, Aidan, Jacob and Jude worked hard today to sort the words that sound the same but are actually all spelt differently! Well done boys!  An nice trick to help you remember how to spell 'meet' and 'meat'! You eat meat. The two e's meet each other. Some fabulously neat work from this week!  The whole of Year Two are in the middle of an exciting art project! A top secret art project!
Another Jill Murphy story! This week we are hearing more funny tales from the Large family! Once again we have met Mrs Large, Lester, Laura and the 'Little One'!
