This week we have continued our study of some of the works of Hans Christian Andersen. We have been looking at the power of words and how we can match pictures to phrases. We have also been looking at different texts and choosing language which we find the most interesting and exciting.
The children have had a chance to listen to more of the stories and have had conversations about the different languages these stories are told in.
The end of the week culminated in us writing and drawing a story map, in which we finished the story of The Tin Soldier. Today we used our maps to help us to write the ending of the story, trying our best to remember all of the things we need to do when we are writing! I was thrilled with the work the children did this week!

Adjectives - Challenge!!
One of our challenges this week was to work in groups to find adjectives for every letter of the alphabet. We then shared our ideas and decided which were the best (some of these choices were tricky as the children all had great ideas). HOWEVER, we did not manage to finish the whole alphabet! You challenge is to see if you can think of adjectives that would fit in our missing spots!!!! T
