Congratulations to Charlotte Knights and Summer. You have earned ten explorer points for each of your teams for taking the quiz, well done!
As part of our 'Traditional Stories' unit in literacy, we have been reading and discussing the text, 'The Magic Paintbrush.' To help break the text down and sequence the events, we acted out the story in groups and recited parts using the text's use of rhyme. We have recorded some of this work for you to watch. Please download the file below. This will be available at the end of school on Friday!
This term 2B are learning about explorers. As part of our ‘Explorers Day’ we participated in lots of fun activities that gave us a taste for what life is like as an explorer. The children thoroughly enjoyed the it and are now very excited about learning more after a fun-packed day.
Charlotte Symington- ‘It was a great day. My team and I were so excited when we managed to follow the clues to find the house points.’ Niamh Huxtable- ‘I enjoyed reading the compass and working as a team to answer the clues.’ Joshua Aylmer- ‘I enjoyed reading the clues and working with my team. We managed to win the activity because we helped each other.’ Benja Hayes- ‘I loved pretending to be a sailor. We had to scrub the deck and climb the rigging.’ Gina Kung- ‘I liked finding the house points with my team.’ Zak Halsall- ‘Using the equipment that explores use was really exciting. I had to use a magnifying glass to read one of the clues!’ Smaran Rangarajan- ‘I enjoyed helping my team because we worked together and found all of the house points to come in second place.’ Josh Heuk Hei Yui – ‘I enjoyed running around following clues to find the house points. I also really liked dressing up as an explorer because I got to use the equipment they use like my whistle, binoculars, compass and torch. My camouflaged outfit made me blend in with the grass too.’ Skylar Chan- ‘I enjoyed being in a team and helping my friends.’ |
