We have been learning how to tell the time in 5 minute intervals. There are many ways to read and write it! Luke's clock here says 'ten to 1' or we could write it as 1:50. AM is morning and PM is afternoon.
We have also been looking at calculation strategies to work out money problems:
Ellen has a £5 note. She spends £3.99. Draw the smallest number of coins she would get her change in.
This is a 2 step problem. We counted from 3.99 up to 5 using a number line to calculate the change, then worked out which coins we could use.
The answer is £1.01 so we would get a £1 coin and a 1p coin change.
