This week in maths we have been exploring 2s, 5s and 10s, counting up using tally's, adding groups of numbers and times tables.
As well we have tried using number lines counting up by 2s, 5s and 10s to answer addition and subtraction questions.
At home you can have your child show you how to use a number line to answer these questions:
5 + 25 =
55 - 20 =
50 - 35 =
10 + 15 =
Here is a link to a Counting Up by 2's online game. Visually it moves very quickly but some kids may enjoy it http://www.ictgames.com/fishy2s.html
This is a simple online game which practises sequencing numbers: http://www.crickweb.co.uk/ks1numeracy.html#digitmenu
This is an advanced game of times table on a grid, parents may want to play it first to show their child how it works; http://www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise/game/ma13tabl-game-tables-grid-find
