## Homework - Week beginning 24th February

Part 1 - Number Work

The children need to complete the boxes in the correct categories. We have visited even and odd numbers and this includes some consolidation of this work.

Part 2 - Preposition Work (language of position)

The children need a dice and at least 1 partner to play this game. Throw the dice and move a counter. If you land on a word you need to use it to make a sentence about 2 objects you can see. For example 'the cat is underneath the table'. If they cannot make a sentence they need to move back to where they started.

## Homework - Week beginning 27th January

There is no compulsory homework this week as the children will not be at school this Friday to hand any in. However, the children have been offered a small booklet made up of some number problems. This booklet can be completed slowly, and just to give the children regular maths work they might enjoy doing.

If your children brings this home they have chosen to do so!

HAVE A LOVELY HOLIDAY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

## Homework - Week beginning 13th January

Part 1 - Number Work

*Some children are finding numbers between other numbers and doing some work on even numbers (we have regularly been counting in 2s and this should help make this easier)

*Some children are finding '1 more than', or '1 less than'.

Part 2 - Calculations

*Some children are finding the difference between numbers we used number lines and marked out the jumps in class and so this is an opportunity to do some further practice.

*Some children are finding the missing number in addition sums. We did this last week, so this is a further opportunity to develop this skill.

PLEASE let me know if your child is unable to do the homework without a lot of support. The homework is based on skills we have been learning in school and therefore should be targeted at a level appropriate for you child. If they are finding it too hard, then I will make appropriate changes.
