We added key developments from the history of electricity to our time line. We enjoyed working out which objects use electricity, whether they use batteries or mains power and explored how to make circuits. We learned how electricity travels round the circuit and how switches work. This week we have been taking more tests and rehearsing for our show so we are ready for a good rest this weekend! Sports Day was awesome- check out the photos on the homepage.
Everyone has worked really hard on their tests this week, some children will have some Level 3 tests next week. All the results will be published in your report which you will be recieving soon. We had great fun designing and making our space buggies but they have taken a bit longer than expected- photo next week when they are finished! We have learned that there are many different sources of sound, why we need sound and that sounds get quieter the further away they go. For extra learning we found out how the ear works and how ears can get damaged. Check out this video for a great explanation- you will need a VPN. If you want to play the BBC bite size games we used click here. We have written alliterative poems- one sound for each line. They are up in the classroom. We have also written Simile poems. Some children even managed to include alliteration in them. Click on the file below to see our work
Click on the picture to read some more poems In Literacy we have read and discussed a range of poems. Some rhyme, some have a rhythm, some are jokes, some are tongue twisters. We learned how to work out riddles and had a go at writing our own. Below are some we wrote together:
Here are some riddle websites- see if you can work out the answers!http://www.buzzle.com/articles/children-riddles.html
