The first week back after the holiday and Puma class have thrown themselves into our next Literacy unit of traditional tales. This week we have been exploring settings and generated a whole heap of adjectives to describe the setting of the Giant's house in Jack and the Beanstalk. We've read a whole series of traditional tales already and carried out an investigation to find out what a traditional story is by finding and comparing facts about each story. We have also started to think about story plans to create a 'character journey' for Goldilocks, explaining what she saw, did, said and heard in her famous story. In our Geography skills this week we started to look at plans of the school and of the classroom, learning that plans are made by looking down on an area like a bird (a bird's eye view).
