Tiger Class have just begun a project to create their own non-fiction books. First we explored and investigated non-fiction books from the library, having a go at identifying different features such as titles, labels, contents pages and headings. Then in preparation for finding out more about our class animals, about which we will be writing our books, we practiced writing notes by picking out key words in sentences. In an afternoon rotation, and as part of our topic work, we then visited each different class and teacher to find out about all the different class animals, taking notes about each one. We have also learnt how to label pictures and have begun our books by creating our front covers. They are already looking great! Well done Tigers!
