This week we have been looking at a variety of Traditional Tales. Many of the tales we have read, the children have known the story in their home language. We focused on Jack and the Beanstalk to talk about adjectives and the setting. We looked and had a really good think about good adjectives to describe the story setting and these are some we came up with...
We focused on Goldilocks and the Three Bears to talk about a characters journey.
The children watched Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the below address will take to to the simple story they saw:

Once we had seen the story, some brave children had a chance to act it out... unfortunately we ran out of time for others to have a try, but it is on our plan to find time as they loved this!

We used our knowledge of the story to make a 'story map'. This linked in to our topic work on map making, the children worked hard on these. They had to think carefully about their new targets whilst they had to also remember to concentrate on their previous targets!
BREAKING NEWS!!! GOLDILOCKS IS MISSING!!!
Our budding policemen got out their notebooks, thought about who might know where Goldilocks was. Then they interviewed the Three Bears! Were they guilty?

After hearing about all of the naughty things Goldilocks had done, we then made our WANTED posters - they will be displayed this week, see if you can spot them!!
