This week we have started a new topic on Traditional Tales and this time we are concentrating on the work of Hans Christian Anderson. we have begun reading The Little Match Girl and have really concentrated on how adjectives are used to help create an image in the readers mind and how different characters have differing points of view. We used drama to help us with this, by pretending to be two characters in the book at a key moment. We then took photographs of the 'Freeze Frames' we created and talked about the images we had created. We also thought carefully about the motives behind these characters' actions and debated whether the characters were good or bad. What a great job Tigers - I'm so impressed with your deep thinking and the way you have engaged with this text!
